Meet Katie

Brilliance Beauty Salon Owner

Hello, I’m Katie, the proud owner of Brilliance Beauty Salon and our newest addition, Brilliance Too. My beauty career began aboard luxury cruise ships, where I was lucky enough to travel the world while honing my skills. After returning home, I continued my journey in Bournemouth, managing and working in local salons and spas before taking the leap into self-employment.

What started with renting a single treatment room (and working part-time in a pub to keep things going!) soon grew into something much bigger. Two years later, I opened my first salon – now known as Brilliance One – and it’s been an incredible journey ever since. Nine years on, I’m thrilled to have opened Brilliance Too, offering more space, more services, and an amazing team of multi-talented staff.

Outside of the salon, you’ll often find me playing netball in a local social league, exploring on long walks, travelling or relaxing at home with my partner and two gorgeous cats. Pedicures are my favourite treatment to perform, but the truth is I love every aspect of beauty – ever since my very first day at Bournemouth College 17 years ago.

Today, I’m passionate about training, mentoring, and supporting my team, and I’m dedicated to ensuring every client enjoys what we proudly call the Brilliance Experience.

Hello I’m Lauren, I’m 26 years old and I have a little girl who is my pride and joy. I love spending time with my family and creating special memories. I have been in the beauty industry for 6 years now and love every part of it. I specialise in eyelash extensions. I love making people feel good about themselves and seeing the before and after transformation! I love all aspects of beauty and am always seeking progression and training opportunities. I’m Christina I have been a qualified beauty therapist for 20 years I did take a 5- year gap from beauty after I had my son but now, I’m back doing it and loving every minute of it. I love doing all treatments, but facials are probably my favourite. I love to spend time with my husband and two children. We like to go on little adventures in our motorhome (Willy the wonderer).

My name’s Beth, and outside of beauty I really enjoy dancing and have been doing it since I was 4. My favourite treatment to do is a lash lift and tint, as I love the difference they can make. I’ve completed two years of college at Bournemouth and Poole studying beauty.

Hello Kelly, here, I have many hobbies such as motorbikes and attending charitable events and would describe myself as a easy-going person. My favourite treatments are brow waxing, lash lifts, lash extensions, and pedicures, I also have a very good talent for nail art. I have been an apprentice at brilliance for a year now however and been doing my own beauty treatments whether it is hair/ nails/ hair removal/ facial tinting for a few years.
